The second week

The second week

finance
Well, now at the end of my second week of the new business and how is it going? It’s actually been very busy. I’ve been tying up the services of a couple of long standing clients that have transferred to me as well as looking at ways to promote my new business.

One of the things I have been using more of recently is breakfast networking and online networking. Breakfasts have been through 4Networking. This is a national networking organisation with over 200 linked groups across the country. I have had an affiliation with this business for a while now and run the Devizes group. I have found that the membership has been very supportive in helping me set up and get my business off the ground. I would highly recommend joining for any new start up business.

The other networking I mentioned was online. By this I mean business forums and other social media such as Twitter and Facebook. I have actually used Twitter to make some very interesting contacts and even a couple of hot leads that I am hoping to convert to clients. As I have the time available to market this is a really good way of getting an initial contact at minimal cost. Any business with an online presence should get a Twitter account and just give it a go!

I would like to also give a big thank you to Duncan from Duck on Water, who has designed and built this website and blog page for me. I think it is a great job and I highly recommend him. Feel free to ask me for contact details. If you have any comment or queries on it, please also get in touch
